spring/summer in the nude nail polish collection by nails inc.

20140304-164422.jpg

team up these beauties with this season’s pastel trend. two new additions of the grey and beige tones go hand-in-hand with the fresh whites you see on the catwalk. these polishes are opaque as well as glossy. pastel’s aren’t girly like it used to be, alexander wang and acne have made pastels cool and slightly manly!

the best oils from head to toe

20140221-163531.jpg
oils are definitely huge right now. it’s all about the non-greasy oils for the face/hair/body/everywhere!
i’m a huge fan of using all sorts of oils especially on my face but here are some of my favourites i use everyday…

20140221-164005.jpg

body – nuxe – huile prodigieuse is a fine dry oil that leaves the skin feeling very soft and silky. it’s a dry oil so it sinks into the skin quickly and keeps it hydrated all day. use on wet skin after a bath/shower and it holds the moisture better!

face – paul & joe – treatment oil has eight different types of natural oils combined with a lovey floral scent. this heats up in the hands while applying and really softens and hydrates the skin. great for doing facial massages and for problematic skin which needs an extra but of care.

nails – nails inc. – stylo huile vitamin e a great portable pen which has a best non- greasy oil inside so you don’t have sticky hands. perfect to carry with you on the go!

hair – percy & reed – no oil oil for thick hair is just brilliant for softening the hair keeping it silky and glossy looking. my hair almost feels plumper with this on and less tangly. perfect for damaged hair that gets knotty…( like mine!)

suqqu spring/summer beloved brown collection

20140220-232454.jpg

check out suqqu’s ss collection – a classic yet playful combination of colours are easy to use and so elegant. here are a few of my favourites from the range…

20140220-232759.jpg

blend colour eyeshadow no.17 – the powders are almost like a cream finish as it’s hydrating on the skin and has a glossy finish. the brown has a slight golden tone which makes it easier to blend. the green compliments the brown without being too loud and the lavender is a subtle highlighter. the cream shadow is a primer for the shadow which creates a dewy look also can be used as a highlighter.

20140220-233732.jpg
balancing cheeks no.02 – this cool pink tone blusher brightens and softens the completion. such a pretty and fresh colour, perfect for pale to medium skin tones.

20140220-234444.jpg
creamy glow lipstick moist ex-03 – a super glossy, hydrating lipstick almost like a lip tint.

20140220-234646.jpg
smoothing face colour – this brightens, smoothes pores and sets your foundation. 3 in 1 genius!
nail colour ex-05 – i personally love nail colours like this on short neat nails, chic and slightly unusual.

la roche-posay bb & cc cream

20140219-110349.jpg

i’m not a huge fan of bb & cc creams but i thought i’d give these two ago since i am a huge fan of la roche-posay skin care. la roche-posay are fantastic for problematic skin and really do seem to do what it says on the box and they’re affordable prices. just what i like!

20140219-110404.jpg

bb cream – the texture is creamy with more pigment than a lot of other bb creams i’ve seen. it has a natural coverage good enough to even out slight imperfections on the skin. the nice thing about this bb cream is it doesn’t have any shimmer or anything that makes your skin too glowy so it leaves the skin almost sun-kissed looking without the sheen. great for when on holiday and on lazy days when putting on foundation is a hassle… 😉

20140219-110411.jpg

cc cream – the texture of the cc cream was less thicker compared to the bb cream which made it a lighter coverage but still covered the red areas of the skin as it says. i usually like a bit more coverage as i have pigmentation around my eyes but this is specially for counteracting redness, which it does. natural glowy finish which lasted all day. all round great product!

stila correct & illuminate serum – secret weapon for flawless skin

20140218-124947.jpg

20140218-124957.jpg

20140218-125004.jpg

these two serum / primers by stila are brilliant for giving your skin the perfect base for your foundation. the one-step correct serum, although it’s slightly hard to see in the picture, really brightens the skin. i would definitely recommend it for people with dull skin as it brightens but also brings back the translucency to the skin.
the illuminate serum has a fine shimmer that isn’t too shiney. fantastic for people with dry skin who want a dewy finish to their skin.

sensai liquid eyeliner – hands down, my favourite eyeliner!

20140217-164630.jpg

the ever so sophisticated sensai have the finest quality when it comes to make-up and skin care. this eyeliner is a “must have” for all liquid eyeliner lovers as it’s super fine nib lets you create precise clean lines which glides on with ease. stays on all day, (even with my watery eyes) doesn’t smudge on my eyelids or flake off. i’ve used so many different brands of eyeliner since my teens (in my 30’s now :s) and i can say, this really is for me the best liquid eyeliner.

i’m not gonna lie, i’m a sucker for great packaging… but these japonesque eyeshadow duo’s are just so beautiful and so quirky and the pigments are strong! they blend pretty easily and stays on without creasing too. they come in two tones so they’re perfect for a quick smokey eye. i’ve put the eyeshadow over my liquid eyeliner to create an even stronger colour. check out the rest of they’re range! http://japonesque.com
